Giving Thanks to God for a Bountiful Harvest
We have had the most amazing harvest this year, more than we can ever remember harvesting, and we thank God for this blessing. Even if it had been a year of crop failures, God would still have blessed us, for He would have had a plan for us in that. In this case though, the blessing has been in abundance. When we're blessed this way, we're often tempted to think "look what I've accomplished", but the truth is that as hard as we work, as smart as we may be, we could not control the outcome. The outcome is God's to give, whether its great success, a gradual improvement, or failure. We're reminded of how God blessed Isaac: When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the LORD blessed him. Genesis 26:12 No doubt Isaac worked hard, but he had no reason to expect a hundredfold increase; that was God's alone to give.
More importantly, the harvest is a symbol for something far more important. We should always be diligent to share the good news of God's love with those around us, and by doing so to bring others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This year's material harvest will soon be lost to the sands of time, but our souls are eternal and God extends to each of us the opportunity to spend that eternity with Him. Then Jesus said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matthew 9:37-38

Back to Farming for 2017 Following the 2016 Jubilee
Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines. For it is a jubilee and is to be holy for you; eat only what is taken directly from the fields. Leviticus 25:10-12
Wild Holly Farm celebrated the 50 year Jubilee this past year, which means all of our land rested for the full year. We are now preparing the gardens and fields for planting (first plants go in the ground in March!). We will be offering a limited number of CSA's this year. See our CSA Subscriptions page, or contact us for details.
Pastured Chicken, Turkey, Beef and Pork
We have chicken, pork and beef available for 2017; we're not making any promises at this point on turkeys, but we will offer them if our heritage turkeys follow their usual practice. Check out our wholesome pastured meats at the Pastured Meats page, and contact us for any questions.

Committed to Serving Our Customers Needs
We serve a broad range of customers with varied needs - some with allergen and chemical sensitivities, some with special dietary requirements, and many who believe that naturally and organically grown produce is not only better for you, but better for the environment. We extend our commitment to providing quality food for our own family to our customers as well. We eat what we grow. We follow Christ's instruction in this regard: "Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:31)
